The Portico dei Pellegrini is the building in front of the Basilica, on the opposite side of Piazza San Nicola. In reality it is informally called the “Portico dei Pellegrini” (Pilgrims’ Porch). The hospice where the pilgrims who visited the Cittadella Nicolaiana stayed was in fact located in other places. Today the Portico is used for exhibitions and congresses.
