The miracles of Saint Nicholas

The Nicolaian citadel, while gathering evidence of great historical and artistic value, is primarily a great attraction for devotees of the cult of St. Nicholas.

Patron of sailors, children, students and single women, St. Nicholas is one of the popular and loved saints by Catholic and Orthodox Christians, but also by confessions not dedicated to the cult of saints as Protestants and Anglicans.

There are few historical sources about the Saint, often mixed with myths and legends, but all trace the figure of a generous and mild man, with a strong faith and peaceful character.
